18-3-2008
On March 18 120 of the region’s most influential developers and housing professionals will gather in Birmingham to debate how the Midlands can lead the country in delivering low and carbon neutral homes.
This unique summit will focus on the twin challenges of building affordable carbon neutral housing for a mass market and upgrading the region’s hundreds of thousands of existing homes effectively and efficiently.
Midlands 2016 will also showcase the launch of the region’s strategic blueprint for the future of low carbon and carbon neutral housing, commissioned by Sustainability West Midlands and delivered by consultants URBED and Forum for the Future.
The conference is a free event being held at the prestigious conferencing suite at the Birmingham Rep in the city centre.
Confirmed speakers include:
• Sarah Greenwood, Senior Project Manager, English Partnerships
• Jon Bootland, Director of the Good Homes Alliance
• Elizabeth Chatterjee, Senior Policy Analyst, Sustainable Development Commission
• Patrick Law, Corporate Affairs Director, Barratt Homes
There will be four workshops covering the four key issues facing the housing sector and exploring in operational and strategic terms how the Midlands can remain at the forefront of the carbon neutral housing challenge.
