Launch Event at EcoBuild, Feb 2007
The GHA organises events, seminars and workshops on pertinent topics on a quarterly basis. Events are free to members, but there will be a charge for non-members to attend. Please let us know if there are any topics you'd like to see covered by our events programme and check this site for new events as they are added.
Winterval event: GHA AGM, Xmas party and debate: Zero Carbon or Bust

From 15:30, we will be hosting a lively debate, discussing the topics of the moment, with Christmas drinks and nibbles from 18.30 – 20.45.
Our panel includes:
Pooran Desai, OBE, Sustainability Director at BioRegional Quintain,
Neil May, GHA Chair and NBT Director,
David Adams, Director, Zero Carbon Hub, and others (tbc)
Our questions will cover:
“Zero Carbon definitions” – views on the Government’s forthcoming zero carbon definitions.
“How low do we go and by when?” - to consider whether zero carbon and the 2016 target are the best way forward.
“Policy and Practice” – will current policies & industry practices deliver the required targets?
“Costs and affordability” – can we afford to build to zero carbon and will buyers pay for it?
We are calling for further questions from our members to debate at the event.
If you have a question, please drop us a line at the GHA with “Winterval question” in the title and we will put all your suggestions in the hat and draw them out on the night.
