CSH anomalies - please send to me

Peter Warm informs us that "If a developer wants to make code level 4, he can build a less well
insulated shell if he adopts electric on peak heating.

On the energy side it is becoming clear that houses designed to the German PassivHaus Standard - way beyond anything so far achieved in the UK - can fail to achieve Code level 3 (actually most would score 0 because of the water anomaly).

Along with the electric heating anomaly Peter has found that the less efficient the building form (lots of external area for given floor area) the easier it is to get a higher code level. Rationalise the form and you dramatically reduce carbon emissions but stand to loose code points as the percentage improvement achievable by increased insulation is less.
