Case Study - Sampson Close
12 Apr 2012 4:14 pm
Orbit Heart of England, in conjunction with Orbit Homes, has invested £3m in building 23 new affordable energy efficient homes at Sampson Close, Coventry. The new eco homes, comprising 18 flats and five houses, were built using advanced Modern Methods of Construction, including extensive use of highly insulated, pre-assembled timber frame panels which enabled fast and efficient erection on site. The environmentally friendly technology will reduce residents’ energy consumption and therefore their fuel bills. It is the first, and largest, social housing scheme in the Midlands to obtain Passivhaus Certification.
