RESPONSIBLE RETROFIT IN TRADITIONAL BUILDINGS (PRE-1919)
Multiple FREE interactive half-day training sessions at various locations to demonstrate the use of an online Guidance Wheel that may be used to help guide retrofit solutions in pre-1919 buildings.
STBA (Sustainable Traditional Building Alliance) with funding from DECC have developed a Guidance Wheel for Responsible Retrofit in Traditional Buildings (pre-1919). Encraft have been employed by the Centre of Refurbishment Excellence (Heritage Lottery Funding) to produce training for the Guidance Wheel and organise pilot training sessions. The Guidance Wheel is designed to help avoid unintended consequences and ensure that solutions are considered more holistically in relation to the many aspects of a building and its performance. There will be access to the Guidance Wheel during the sessions, and multiple case studies will be presented and discussed in these workshop events. These events are aimed at professionals in the retrofit sector.
